Playing the same team twice in one week has had its challenges for Coach Prandy and his staff, but South Aiken has an 8-2 overall record and 6-0 record in region play.
With Midland Valley looking to get even after losing to the Tbreds on Tuesday, looked as if they had right plan. The Mustang’s only trailing by two after the first quarter, 11-13, continued to keep it close by attacking South Aiken’s defense throughout the second quarter to only trail 23-26 at the half.
Whatever was said at the half really woke up the Thoroughbreds, the 32 point third quarter is most of the year. South Aiken turned up the defensive pressure to create turnovers and create easy scoring opportunities for the Tbreds. The 32-7 third quarter ended any hopes of an upset for Midland Valley. South Aiken completed the sweep with a 16-7 fourth quarter for a 77-37 win.
